The Challenge
Dispatchers coordinated 300 vehicles via phone calls and spreadsheets. Customers called constantly asking where their delivery was, and rerouting was always reactive.
What We Built
A tracking platform with GPS ingestion, a live map for dispatchers, algorithmic route suggestions, and automatic customer notifications at every milestone.
Live Tracking and Dispatch
GPS positions stream into a live map where dispatchers see every one of the 300 vehicles at once, spot stalled routes and reassign stops from a single screen instead of chasing drivers one by one.
Customer Notifications
Customers receive automatic updates by text and email at every milestone: picked up, on the way and delivered. They watch their own status, which is why call-center volume dropped as soon as live tracking went live.
Technical Approach
The platform ingests GPS telemetry in real time, stores positions on a timeline, and feeds them to both the dispatch map and the customer-facing notifications. Algorithmic route suggestions learn from historical travel times to keep plans realistic.
Route Optimization
Suggestions combine live traffic, vehicle type and delivery windows to propose faster sequences before delays happen. Dispatchers keep final control, but they now decide from data instead of guesswork.
The Result
Delays fell 22% in the first quarter. Call-center volume dropped as customers watched delivery status themselves.
Client Feedback
For the first time we see our whole fleet on one map. Customers stop asking where their delivery is, and our delays dropped by more than a fifth in a single quarter.
